There are multiple methods that can be used to get rid of genital warts. These warts are caused by HPV so to fully get rid of the warts you must aid your immune system in suppressing this virus to its dormant state. You can do this by improving your diet, exercise, quit smoking, reduce alcohol and taking supplements such as Echinacea.
It is also helpful to treat the actual warts that you have. This can be done by a variety of methods. Your doctor will either freeze off the warts, use laser, surgery, TCA, etc.
There are also a few home remedies that you can use to get rid of the genital warts. Some of these remedies are more effective than the ones that your doctor would use and there is less chance that the warts will grow back. Check out my source to learn more.
Do NOT use over-the counter remedies meant for other kinds of warts. Your doctor may treat genital warts by applying a skin treatment in the office. Or, the doctor may prescribe a medication that you apply at home several times per week.
Surgical treatments include cryosurgery, electrocauterization, laser therapy, or cutting them out.
If a girl or woman is already infected with a type of HPV, the HPV vaccine, Gardasil, will not prevent disease from that type.
