My friend was just told that she has genital warts.. and has to get them lazered off. Is there a cure for this? will she have it the rest of her life or can she get rid of it? please help.

Most of what I’ve read online sounds like it is unsafe as there is a slight chance they could spread to the baby and even into the baby’s throat. A few sources online say it is fine.

My OB/GYN said it is not an issue at all and as it is too late to begin treatment (due in a couple weeks) that we will leave them alone until after the baby is born. She said it will not stop me from having a vaginal birth.

Is she right? I don’t want to risk him contracting it, especially in the throat.
